Expand Production to
Southeast Europe
Without Compromising Quality
Leverage Bosnia & Herzegovina's competitive manufacturing costs, EU market access, and skilled workforce to relieve cost pressure while maintaining Swiss precision standards.
Your Strategic Manufacturing Transition Partner
For Western European manufacturers facing cost pressure, Southeast Europe offers a strategic solution to expand capacity while maintaining proximity and quality.
Why Southeast Europe?
Diaspora-led operations combine competitive costs with proximity to your markets and EU trade access. We connect you with experienced partners who understand both worlds.
Ready for partnership, not just production
The cost case is real. The talent case is bigger, and most Swiss and DACH executives miss it until they see it inside their own teams.
A production workshop for Europe
Capacity, pushed by EU cost and regulatory pressure, shifting geopolitics, and fragile supply chains. Useful, but it stops at unit cost.
A partner for engineering, R&D and software
Switzerland's real bottleneck is not factory capacity. It is engineers. Hiring a mechanical, embedded or software engineer in the DACH region today takes 9 to 18 months and easily breaks CHF 140k loaded cost. In Bosnia & Herzegovina, that talent exists, it is technically strong, young, and hungry to build.
In recent Swiss-BiH setups, the parent engineering teams were caught off guard, within the first 6 months, by the speed and ownership of the BiH engineers they were meant to supervise.
Pattern observed across multiple manufacturing and medtech transitions. The Strategic Transition Assessment also surfaces whether you are under-using BiH by treating it only as a production site.
Manufacturing Capabilities & Sectors
Bosnia & Herzegovina has established industrial capabilities across multiple sectors, with modern facilities already serving international OEM customers including Bosch, BMW, and major European brands. These operations are predominantly initiated and managed by diaspora professionals who bring Western quality standards and management practices to the region.
Risk Mitigation
We help you navigate the key challenges of expanding to Southeast Europe through structured approaches and local expertise.
Implementation Roadmap
We guide DACH manufacturers through the entire transition process, combining local expertise with diaspora bridges and hands-on implementation support to ensure successful operations aligned with your quality standards.

Lorenz Schaffner
Strategic Transition Lead · Swiss operator, based in Sarajevo
Your Transition Partner
Someone who has actually moved production, not just modelled it.
A cross-border transfer lives or dies on the ground, not in the deck. That is why this work is led by Lorenz Schaffner - a Swiss operator who emigrated to Bosnia in 2010, learned the language, and has spent more than 15 years building, running and turning around manufacturing operations between Switzerland and BiH.
Trained toolmaker, plant manager for teams of 60-70, authorised signatory (Prokurist) for a Swiss group with a BiH sister company, owner of an investment and outsourcing consultancy in Sarajevo. Lorenz has personally stood in the rooms most founders are about to walk into for the first time.
His role here is simple: keep your transition honest. Stress-test the case, flag the silent killers (workforce profile, local governance, cross-culture drift, vetted advisors), and stay close to execution - not just to the strategy slide.
