Is your retail business established, but your website and workflows have not kept pace?

Digitalization starts with your website, but reaches into the work behind it: from product inquiry to advice and follow-up. When details are entered twice and agreements depend on individual people, the connection is missing. Where does it hold you back?

The check is free of charge and takes only a few minutes. We put your answers into context together in a personal conversation.

    PROBLEM

You sell the goods. The information gets left behind.

A customer asks online about a variant, while someone in the store is being advised right now. The inquiry sits in the inbox, availability sits in another system. A colleague promised something, but the next shift knows nothing about it. Descriptions on the website no longer match the current range, and the same questions keep coming up.

After the purchase, the next search begins: which version was delivered, what was agreed and who handles the follow-up question? For advice-intensive products, a sale is rarely finished at the register. Still, contacts, quotes and service requests remain separate from each other. You see the revenue, barely the lost opportunities in between.

    HYPOTHESIS

A new website, or just one more tool?

That is the natural reflex. Yet there is often already inventory software, point-of-sale software, accounting and a website. Each application serves a purpose, but they run in parallel. The website starts a conversation, then the next step is entered again elsewhere. People copy details, search for agreements and keep the connection going by hand. How the work behind it all connects rarely gets asked.

    ANTI-THESIS

More tools do not close the gap.

A nicer website changes nothing if the path from product inquiry to advice and follow-up still needs the same questions and manual work. Another app simply adds another login. Not every existing system needs replacing, but its handoffs need to work. A one-off IT project built and handed over is not enough: your business moves on, and its digital workflows need to move with it.

    DIAGNOSIS

What is missing is the path in between.

The gaps often sit along the path from product inquiry to advice and follow-up. Who takes over, what details do they need, and where is the current status? The website is the first link in this chain, not its end. A modern website becomes part of your business system when inquiries arrive in an organized way and the next step is clear.

    MECHANISM

Three levels from first contact to better overview

wis.dom|digital™ starts with a modern website as a reliable entrance into your business. From there we connect the steps from product inquiry to advice and follow-up, gradually rather than through a complete overhaul. Together we choose a useful improvement within the agreed scope, introduce it and let the team use it. We review and adjust before building further. Existing systems stay where they work well.

    01

    Foundation

A modern website makes your range, advice and the details needed for a useful product inquiry clear. It shows what you do and collects structured inquiries, with simple routing to the right person. We design, build and maintain this foundation, secure and up to date. It is the entrance into the business, not an extra task list. More extensive specialist workflows are agreed separately. Twice a year we review this basis in the Digital Foundation Review.

    02

    Growth

We connect the website with agreed contact management, appointments and follow-up. This makes the path from product inquiry to advice and follow-up traceable without entering the same details repeatedly. Lightweight integrations use the jointly defined systems. Deeper ERP or specialist software integrations are reviewed and quoted separately. In the quarterly 60-minute Digital Growth Review, you choose the next step with a Business Advisor.

    03

    Steering

First we clarify the questions you need to answer for your decisions: open quotes, service inquiries and available sales data. Then we build your Business Cockpit within the jointly defined systems. Agreed operating, banking and financial data provide a useful overview instead of another report. This does not mean replacing a complete ERP or specialist system. Once a month you discuss the numbers and next decisions with a Business Advisor.

    EXAMPLES

An example from advice-intensive specialist retail

A website builds trust. Here is how the back office could keep the promise.

A medical equipment distributor with 28 years of experience and more than 100 clinics as clients: what changes when service requests, quotes and maintenance schedules stop living in inboxes and spreadsheets.

A medical equipment distributor has supplied hospitals, clinical centers and private practices since 1998: eleven manufacturer representations, more than forty products, and a service team that maintains what it delivers. The delivered website makes that experience visible. Behind it, inquiries, quotes and service requests still arrive by phone and email and are tracked by hand. The following steps describe a possible development, not functions already delivered.
